Prague!

Here she is with the Charles Bridge in the background - it was very cool! Unfortunately there was construction on it, which made it very crowded to cross, but we had to to get to...

The John Lennon wall! It was a little underwhelming, just on the side of an office(?) building, but we spent a long time reading all the things written on it :) Panda Ann wanted to graffiti her name on it, but I didn't have a Sharpie to give her. Maybe next time!

I forgot to take ANY pictures of her the first day I was there, because she was in my bag. I only remembered the second morning we were there. So I put her somewhere I wouldn't forget! It turned out to be great, though, because the first day had quite terrible weather, and as you can see, the second day was gorgeous :D

Panda Ann travels Europe

So I haven't posted in a ridiculous amount of time even though I said that I would - go me! But I've been preparing to leave for Germany for a few months, and here I am now! I'm gone (and away from my dollies) for six. I've been facing quite the dilemma: I couldn't leave all of them behind but I couldn't bring any with me either. So Panda Ann stepped up to the plate!

Here she is, in front of the village tower in Herrnhut, Germany.

Next stops on her whirlwind tour include, but are not limited to the following locations: Berlin, Dresden, and Prague.

I was honestly getting so worried about this girl! I've never had a package take more than two weeks on the dot to arrive, and it's been three since she was shipped. I was expecting her to arrive no more than a couple days apart from everyone else in the area, but a whole week? Seems kind of weird. I wasn't in panic mode yet, but I seriously thought she might be lost. I tend to be ridiculous in fearing the worst.

ANYWAY. She's here now!

Her name is Blitz, and she is way cuter than I ever expected. Waiting for her, I was kind of worried that I wouldn't like her as much as I did looking at everyone else's pictures, but I was completely wrong. She's my first dal, but even though I've seen Chuchi's, I didn't know quite what to expect anymore. But I was worried for nothing! She is so pretty, and I think I'm in love.

It's been forever since Dals came out, but I never expected myself to get one. Ever. Now I'm already thinking that Blitz needs a friend!

This doll collecting stuff is a long and slippery slope, my friends.

I'm so excited! There was a photo contest on House of Pullip and I won third place!

Having a tea party with all of my friends. Would you like a sweet? This is my imagination... feel like so.

I really wasn't expecting to once I had seen the other entries... there were some I thought were far better than mine who didn't win (but I'm not complaining!). I won a set of rement and a plushie... I got what the other two winners didn't choose for themselves, but I ended up getting exactly what I would've chosen anyway :)

Cinnamoroll will be coming at the end of this month, too. She'll be my first Dal, so I'm hoping she lives up to all the expectations :) and I guess that she looks like her promo pictures, but everyone wishes that, I'm sure!

I was inspired by a picture request thread on PS to try out fruits style on Veronica a few days ago. I'd never tried to put an outfit together before, but I think we pulled it off! She's so cute she could wear anything, though. :)

Rila! Like Riley, but rhymes with Lila. I seriously love this girl more every day!

I've been re-dressing her constantly, and so far I think she looks best in whites and darker colours: black, burgundy. The pink all over thing that so many people seem to do just doesn't work, imho.

I spent like, two hours last night playing dress up with this (still unamed) girl. She looks good in everything! Don't know what her style is yet, though. I should've taken pictures, but it was late and I was tired.

These pictures were taken this morning before I left for work. There were seriously huge snowflakes falling when I took these, too. You can kind of see them in the background of the second picture. I should've taken more!

1. The thing I hate most about my job is the dress code. I work in a home improvement store, so it's only jeans and t-shirts/hoodies, but I'm NOT a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. I can't wear skirts or dresses, or even anything nice because it'll get ruined!

2. I wear socks to bed. Every night.

3. To me, my room = messy if my bed sheets are not perfectly straight, theres a pair of socks on the floor, and maybe my keys and cell phone have been thrown somewhere instead of tucked away. Anything more and I will not be able to anything without tidying first.

4. I've been watching lonelygirl15 since it first started (before it was fake!) and despite the fact that I hate it now, I can't stop!

5. I like to think that I'm super good at Guitar Hero, but really I can only do medium. Hard seems terrifying, but at least I can beat the guys who taught me how to play!

6. I own nearly fifty pairs of shoes.

7. I was fifteen before I learned how to snap my fingers, and I still can't whistle.

Got home today to find a ransom note in my mailbox!

It said I'd be able to pick this girl up tomorrow, but since it's supposed to snow (and I'm totally impatient), I took my chances and went today.

And she was there! Oren!

She doesn't have a name yet, I'm still browsing for the perfect one. I want it to be classy, but not cliche, and a little bit eccentric. We'll have to see about that! I'm definitely open for suggestions.

Seriously, I am so excited to have this girl. I found a really good deal for her and could NOT say no. She's been on my want list for a long time, so this is really exciting!

But who is she? My lips are sealed until she gets here, but you should all know that it's VERY exciting! Or, at least I think so.

I've been largely absent for the past few months. Seriously, I don't know why! I've been lurking just as much as always, but I haven't been making time to update or comment or converse. Life's been catching up with me. No excuse, but I've been busy and tired!

Excuses aside, I suppose it's time to catch up.

I got a little Panda! She's been the most exciting part of the last while. I love carrying her around in my purse when I go out. Her name? My friend wanted to name her Li Ming the Panda, my brother was very adament about Moronic, but I couldn't decide for the longest time. Now she's known as Panda Ann. The 'veterans' (this term makes me laugh, I still feel like such a newbie) will remember who she's named after. Panda Ann becuase I feel like the pullip-verse has changed so much since I got here, and I want to hold on to a little piece of how it used to be.

Got Veronica's Kstarr wig... forever ago? I did a whole photoshoot to show it off but never posted it. I had so much fun playing with her hair for the first week; I've never had a Kstarr wig before, so I was completely astonished at the quality and softness of it.

This photo is from way back in June. I should have posted this at some point back then, but never did. Seriously, I have so many folders of photos that I took but never showed anyone. I'll make a post one day with ALL of the long lost photoshoots and outtakes.

I came home one day in November to find this:

I promptly texted my older brother, asking why my doll was riding a banana... his response?

"BANANA!!!"

Also a long lost photoshoot. I think I did this in October? I started out doing a photoshoot just for Veronica, because her outfit was so cute, but I loved the light so I did one for each of my girls. Again, I spent a whole afternoon taking pictures, but didn't post them! There's something wrong with me, obviously.

In at least some recent news, I did the secret santa swap on Dolly Market, it was so much fun! I have no idea if my gift has gotten there yet, I'm kind of worried about it. I mailed it out forever ago, and the girl said to expect it to arrive in about six days, but the recipient hasn't posted anything yet. It should have been there long before Christmas, but now it's past, so I feel super bad that it hasn't arrived.

Mine came right in time, though. I got it on Christmas eve!

Blurry photo, but it was a rushed picture! Ellie's outfit was handmade by Sparky, with help from Angelberries. I love it so much! It suits her. I also got Veronica's outfit (FF), hat, the cookies she's holding, and a few other fun goodies.

Chrismas was very fun this year. To slip out of doll-mode for a moment, I got a tokidoki purse! And a bunch of other stuff (clothes, some books/movies/cd's, etc.), but the purse was a huge deal! It's not even one of the small ones. My brother (brother! since when do they spend money on little sisters?) bought me a big one! It's the Gioco Vacanze print, and SUPER cute. The only sad part is that the Qee was broken when I opened the box. I just bought a new one on ebay, so I'll glue the old one back together and put it in my doll's apartment. I'm too afraid of putting it back on the purse, just to have it fall off and not notice. Then it would be lost forever.

ANYWAY. More recent news; I preordered Cinnamoroll! I'm very excited that I finally found a Dal that I love enough to get. I'm finally branching out! It's terribly exciting :)

ALSO. As of Tuesday, I've been collecting for two years! It seems like such a long time, but it also feels like it's passed in the blink of an eye. I remember when pullipparade was the place to be and when type two bodies were still a majority. It's overwhelming when I think about how much everything has changed!

I got some of the 30 days rement, and I am so happy! I lucked out and got the cutest little outfit. I would have been happy with any of it, though. And I know, I know! Anja has been the only girl getting any attention lately, but it suits her so well!

I'm super glad that I got out to take pictures yesterday. It was sunny and beautiful, but today it started raining... it's not horrible weather, but only okay. And it's not going to be nice again for a while yet.

And oh! I can't wait for my Kstarr order... does anyone know exactly when they're shipped in September? I know the middle of the month, but not exactly when.

Just as I said I might be, I was in Victoria over the weekend. It was beautiful for the most part and I saw a lot of cool things. Of course, I took Anja with me. She didn't get very much camera time last weekend so I had to make it up to her. Hopefully this update will make up for my lack of substance lately. Be warned: there are a lot of pictures!

These were on the ferry ride over to the island.

We went to the House of Wax, and there was a whole room of Disney characters... I couldn't resist!

The next few photos were very illegal. The 'castle' we were in allowed photography, but we weren't supposed to touch anything. I figured that I wasn't reeeally touching anything... it was the doll, honestly!

The rest of the pictures are from the Butchart Gardens... mostly from the Japanese garden. It was so beautiful there! I could have spent all day taking pictures, but we were only there for a couple of hours.

Even though I had Anja out of my purse for most of the weekend, the people at the gardens were the only ones who commented. I had probably ten or twelve people say something about her, and two different women actually stopped me and asked what she was/where she was from/why I was taking pictures. The second one even held her for a moment and said that she was really pretty! I was shocked that more people didn't call her creepy :)

I felt bad at some points because I felt like I was in the way of people who wanted shots of just flowers, but most people seemed more curious than angry that I was in their way.

Would you believe that I took more than 100 doll shots over the weekend? And that's not including the bad ones that I deleted on the spot... the 100 are the ones that I kept!

I was in Calgary over the weekend, and told myself that if I brought a doll with me, I would take lots of pictures and have a really exciting post to put up when I got back. So I took my doll and my camera... and came back with like, three shots. Anja had a fun time hanging out in my purse, though.

I'll hopefully be in Victoria next weekend though. Photo opportunities there will be far more frequent, I'm sure.

I know that it's been a while... real life has caught up with me and I've been dealing with a lot on my plate for the past couple/few weeks. I decided to just take a break tonight! I plugged myself into my iPod and just got away to take photos. It was fun :)

So, my best friend was here about a half hour ago to drop something off for me. It's my birthday tomorrow but I won't see her so she was here tonight.

She's heard a lot of complaining from me in the past re. people who put me down for my hobby, don't encourage me, etc. and so she decided to do this for me!

It's a little bookshelf with tiny books on it! Each opens and some even have things written in them! There's the complete Harry Potter series, and some great classics (Shakespeare, Donne, Milton, Coleridge, Chaucer, Blake, Tennyson). One is actually my card!

Isn't that fabulous?? It made me so happy!

I've been super sick since Monday (viral meningitis for the curious - it sucks) and confined to my bed for the most part. I've been bored out of my mind! Thankfully I've had a very considerate helper :)

I'm pooped from all this hard work... lets go back to watching movies!

Ellie's been chillaxin with me lately. I don't know what it is about her dinosaur suit, but it just makes me happy! Not to mention the fact that she's totally cute when she wears it :)

I use my pullip cards as bookmarks, and yesterday at school I was reading a book with Paja's card in front of me, sitting on my desk. My english teacher walked by, paused, picked it up, looked for a moment, and said 'freaky!' She actually thought that sweet, serene, sleeping Paja on the card was scary! So today, urged by a friend of mine, I took Ellie to school.

Obviously, some people just can't appreciate beauty ;)

Vancouver Meet!

So the meet was today, and it was so much fun! The weather was fabulous so we got to sit and chat outside in the sunshine for a while :)

We had ten girls, one Taeyang, a Dal, a Blythe and two minis present, it was a real party. At least three people asked us about them, and two ladies were so sweet about them. They asked all sorts of questions and thought that it was really neat that we were meeting up :)

The girls behind the obsession: myself, Chuchi(Holly), and plasticlove(Crysta). We're pirates.

I was really excited to see some of Chuchi's dolls... I told her that they were nearly famous, but she doesn't believe me!

I'm not sure why I found it so amusing, but just the sight of Holly's Micah sticking out of the bag was so funny!

All in all, it was a super fun day. I got some new friends, new rement and a fabulous knit hat from Chuchi, thank you!

So, the other day I realized that my camera has had a macro mode all along... I just never knew it. I've been taking blurry pictures this whole time for no reason! The last couple of days have been spent experimenting, so I figured I'd post a couple of shots!

Does anyone know how to make my images smaller? I'm at a loss... I made them smaller on my photobucket, they're small there, but they're still so huge when I look at them here! Two different sizes in different places, it's weird!

Really, I'm just trying to waste time right now before the pullip meet... I have like forty minutes before I have to leave, and it's going so slowly!!

My family went to Pizza hut for dinner tonight... I decided to bring Anja along because it's been so long since I've taken any of my girls with me anywhere. It was super fun. No weird looks or comments, but here's a couple of pictures anyway:

One accidently with flash, but I didn't have time to re-take it >.<

I swear, I'm having the hardest time ever dressing this girl! I see so many Hautes out there with the cutest outfits ever, but I have nothing that suits her. I seriously need to go shopping soon.
